Friday, May 14 News

Well, the well is still gushing oil into the Gulf of Mexico, but now the big news is that scientists are estimating the leak to be something like 5 times the amount as previously thought. British Petroleum and our U.S. government thought the leak to be at 200,000 gallons a day. Now scientists who have studied the leak through the video of the leak that is now available (through a robotic device that submerged to the bottom of the sea floor at 5,000 feet below sea level) have said that this amount is gravely underestimated. The amount could very well be 1,000,000 gallons a day.

If this is true, this oil spill could be the worst in history. It could effect 100 of miles of coastline, from Louisiana to Florida and even up the Atlantic coast.

As I was reading this news last night, I became quite sad. I hope our government starts to really invest in renewable sources of energy.

Do you think our government will invest in renewable sources of energy, like wind and solar power? When will we move away from using oil to run our cars and machines?

I beleave are goverment does not know what there doing , or how to fix the oil spill. I also know that are goverment knows how to make cars run without oil. but they are making so much money on oil its hard to stop useing it. They also know it hurting are envirment so are goverment will stop soonner or later. but with this oil spill happening they might think twice about useing oil any more cause it is dangering the animals in the lakes and also on land.

yesterday when i logged in to facebook, i heard some news that really rattled my mind and heart. once again another one of our young black men were shot in the leg and stomache because of the street life and an on going beef between "hoods". i think these young men wont get enough of dead bodies untill they get shot because they fight and shoot over petty things and they kill fo nothing.

Lebron James is struggling real hard also now that since the Boston Celtis defeated them they are out of the playoffs. A 7 game serious for Lebron didnt go as well as he expected as he lost in the Celtics home. So Lebron now has a choice to leave the Cavalies now and be a free agent. Lebron can go to the The Bulls, Raptors, Knicks, or Nets which Jay Z wants Lebron to come to.
